Track 2 - "One Red Light Little Small Town"

Written by W. Scott Owens and W.E. Edwardson Jr.

The inspiration for the verses comes from the town where my children were raised, Newkirk, Oklahoma. Some of the pictures on the YouTube video are of downtown Newkirk. We are thankful that we were able to raise our two children in a small farming town. There was one elementary school, one middle school, and one high school. Of course, there was only one red light. The pace and friendliness of an American small town is wonderful for raising children. I don’t believe America’s small towns are completely disappearing but they are certainly struggling to stay alive.

Track 8 - "When I Come Back Home"

Written by J. Lindsey and W.E. Edwardson Jr.

This song was written by my friend and co-writer Josh Lindsey. My contributions to this song were an edit to the second verse and the instrumentation, vocals, and production on the album. This song was written during a challenging time in both Josh’s and my life. It addresses the need for family and love and finishes with the declaration that we will be with God when our time on this world comes to an end.
